How can image-based sexual abuse be eliminated from online platforms, while preserving space for consensual adult content? This full day workshop will bring together industry and stakeholder representatives in an expert-led seminar and discussion about best practices on consent and safety in adult content distribution.
Image-based sexual abuse has no place on the Internet. Sex workers and other creators of consensual adult content have long advocated for better practices to ensure that abuse imagery is kept off the platforms that they use. Yet the wisdom of these groups has been ignored in the latest raft of changes to adult content rules made by key financial intermediaries and platforms, under pressure from anti-pornography lobby groups.
That changes with this meeting, which will mobilize sex-positive communities to develop and share best practices for the elimination of image-based sexual abuse, that also uphold the rights and freedoms of marginalized content creators.
